Wēlina mai! I am
a mother, a daughter, a sister, a teacher,
a Hawaiian, a facilitator, a coach, a traveler, an educator, a leader.
My students have worked so hard each year to do good work as they learn through World History
what are pono leadership traits for a modern Hawaiian in a global community.
Please enjoy their websites
as they share a little about themselves,
and their journey of enlightenment
with our extended ʻohana!
Who We Are
Kumu Hoku has been teaching for last 21 years in various capacities. Starting as a Summer Fun leader in her hometown of Waimānalo in 1995, she has constantly held positions of helping, influencing, inspiring others to learn more about themselves, their ʻohana and bettering the communities that they are connected to through a reflection on who they are, their strengths, their challenges, and ever-developing manaʻo of Hawaiian identity while striving towards strong pono leadership traits.
